Donald (Daniel) (convict inf. states both names) was convicted in Edinburgh,
Scotland.  He was an  indoor servant, charged with robbing his master on 16
July 1829, sentenced to 7 years transportation.  Arrived NSW 14 December 1830
aboard the "FLORENTIA" which left Portsmouth 15 August, 1830,  he was aged
19/20. (from Convict Indent)
His Free Certificate No. 36/0788 is dated 19 August 1836. 
He applied for permission to marry female convict Harriet Harbour (Harber)
granted 20 January 1842. (from Convict Permissions to Marry register).
Marriage was conducted by Rev. James Fullerton.
On the transc. for Caroline's birth in 1857 it states there was 1 girl
deceased.  There is an entry on the NSW BD&M for Helen Harber, died 1849,
inft. no parents shown.  Possibly this could be the missing child....?
  Harriet: 
    Harriet Harbour (Harber, Harbor) was born in Herefordshire
    (no confirmation held) c. 1819.
She was charged with arson and sentenced to 15 years transportation.
She arrived on the "SURREY" 14 July 1840. description as per Convict Indent

Hannah's Marriage cert. shows her mother's name to be Harriet Gibson.  Could
this be an error...?  (The name shown for mother of her husband James House is
known to be incorrect as it states Amelia - the name of William House's
2nd wife when it was his first wife Emma who was James' mother.)
Is there something to the fact that Hannah was married in Maitland to a man
from the Hunter Valley, and Donald McDonald fathered a son William at Seaham
(Maitland area) with Elizabeth Clifton....?  An ongoing mystery!

M J McDonald told Les Foubister years ago that she and a sister to her mothers
2nd marriage (?) were fostered out when her dad died. According to Doreen
(Foubister) - name was Marion Janet and she had hard life in foster homes
(farms near Dubbo) - even had to eat chook food.Was very thin. Witnesses at
